Hi,
I've been using a wired Xbox 360 controller periodically for around three years now and have hardly ever had issues with it, until a couple of days ago where it suddenly stopped working. When I plug it into a USB port on my Dell Studio 1749 laptop (running Windows 7 64 bit) nothing happens; none of the quadrant lights come on and the controller doesn't seem to appear anywhere in Device Manager. I've tried plugging it into other USP ports with the same result.
I got it to work once briefly yesterday, but have had no luck since.
I don't think the USB port is the problem as I've plugged other devices into it, including a portable Hard Drive and a Wacom Tablet and these both worked fine.
Please help.
