Hi guys
Is it possible to gain wireless internet access via a usb modem while in safe mode with networking. I have tried to do this with windows xp, vista and 7 with no success. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thats because the modem drivers are not getting loaded in safe mode. Safe mode is just that, safe mode without the drivers being loaded so that the operating system can be worked on or debugged. I doubt you can force an app to start in safe mode, unless its something required by the OS. Also, it would probably be ill advised to try force a 3rd party service to start in safe mode, there would be dependant services that aren't started as well as other issues.

Hi Bill2 and thanks for your reply,
I understand that while in safe mode many drivers are disabled. However if the computer is started in (safe mode with networking) and the only access to the net is via a usb modem. I guess my question is, is there any way to get around this.
