Hello! I have a 64bit Windows 7 Professional on a wireless network which worked fine until the other day. Now I show that I am connected to my home network (with a house icon) without problems, AND it shows that I am NOT connected to an unidentified network (with a park bench icon). Does anyone know why this is happening and if it might have negative effects on my network or it's speed? I'm not an IT guy and these things give me a headache. Thanks!

That Park Bench Icon means that you have a Public profile... that is going to block your intranet connection to each computer.

Could you please tell us the Make/Model of your Router, Computers

The OS of each computer and your Firewall or better known as Internet Security Software.

ou need to change the Public to a Home Network.

1) Open up your Network and Sharing Center

2) Under View your Active Networks; you should see the Park Bench

3) Click the link that saids Public

4) It will bring up a dialog box; select Home

5) Thats it for that.
