hi my fellow internet frds..

since i while ago my laptop's wireless been behaving really weird..
the wireless driver will suddenly disable and gone from the network list

going into Device manager, it says "this driver is not installed " or sth like that...
cant exactly rmb what it said,

and sometimes the wireless bars in the bottom will show a yellow "!" with no connectivity with showing only the network i connected to.
if i repair it the driver will be gone...almost have to repair like 10X times to get it come back on, (or i think i came back on itself)

or sometimes just no network "no connections are available"

1st thought was virus, but did full scan...no virus....just did a Full Format and reinstall window, and 1st thing i've installed the wireless driver..still happaning...

im starting to guess is hardware problem??!?!??!

did kinda drop my laptop a while back.........
maybe something is loose inside which causing this???

HELP!!! =( really really pissing me off

gonna buy a mac...!

ps: "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)
To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer."

Hello ching, hopefully your problem gets solved soon.

However, saying you are switching to macs because your pc doesn't work is like saying you are changing from eating chicken to eating birdseed, because its organic or something. Poor analogy perhaps, but keep in mind you posted that tid-bit about a mac on a pc forum. But I do agree, macs may be easier to use if you prefer 'ease' to everything else. They are also quite a bit more expensive.

Perhaps, as you say, dropping the computer has somehow messed with the wireless adapter within your computer. However, because it is a laptop, you would need to get it repaired professionally, perhaps through it's manufacturer. Otherwise, in addition to Panais's post above, you might try this tutorial to see if it helps you any: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/18203-internet-troubleshooting-guide.html - tutorial created by Dinesh

haha is just sth i was deciding for a while....
been a pc user since win 95..never really owned a mac be4, used it during
elementary, n highskol...
by all means i love PC, easy to fix, tons of mods, easy to find help.....
easy to upgrade.....

back to my issue,...bought my laptop to a tech..(family frd)
he advise me to just get a wireless adapter, (got it) really really small one, like those wireless mouse transmitter usb doggle thingy....

just like $8 usd or $55 RMB( im in china right now)

he said bringing it to a shop n tearing the laptop open n see whatsup...
labour and everything is not gonna be cheap....since once is open, u duno what they'll mess with, and cant really 100% assemble back together perfectly...

hes right, just labour probably cost more than $8....so i just bought a adapter....

the only downside is that my wifi signal dropped from Full 5 bars down to only 2...(same room, same distance to my router) still works but just kinda bothers me with only 2 bars......

but yea..i m also getting a macbook air soon too.......

Is always a good idea to download first the utilities\softwares.

Then completely uninstall the software\driver.

Then install\update the software\driver.
