Does anybody know about good wireless (usb most likely) gamepads? My PC's connected to my TV via HDMI and i want to be able to play old classics on emulators. Any suggestions? They don't have to have Rumble or any of those nifty features.

i bought a USB PS3 gamepad from radio shack for about $10. It works with quite a few non-emulated games on my PC, and with all the emulators I've tried it with. only problem i have with it is the hassle of buying more AAA batteries. I much prefer AAs

Most pads i find are about 35-40 bucks at least. What's your model called?

hows the weather in Iceland. I haven't been there in almost 20 years now.

I like the Xbox 360 controller, it was plug and play on both my Win7 64bit machines, but it is quite pricey, $65+ with the USB receiver.
Amazon.com: Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows: Video Games

Amazon.com: Xbox 360 Wireless Controller - Glossy Black: Video Games

I already had an Xbox with 2 controllers, so I just had to buy the adapter which was on sale for $20 when I bought it a few years ago.

Oh yeah, i will most definitely agree there.

The Xbox 360 wireless controller is so much better, its a much better feel, better grip, better laid out buttons and you have triggers as well as two joysticks.

The receiver is not to bad either, i got mine off Ebay and, as far as i believe, it is Microsoft genuine. Came from Hong Kong so not too bad.

The controller depends on what one you want, if you want generic off-white, then for me in the UK, it was £15 to £20, i however have the black version which was an extra £10 (Only because its the elite version).

Take from us two, buy an Xbox 360 controller, you wont go wrong.

Lucky

@Zephir: The weather here is pretty good. We had a few cold days a couple of weeks ago but it's been relatively warm this winter (40-50 deg's fahrenheit) with little wind. Which seems strange 'cause Europe has been having it pretty rough. If only we had more than 20 hours of sunlight in december...

Back on topic: What you call pricey, I call a bargain. With Icelands crazy electronics tolls and customs, added up with our poor exchange rates (our economy kinda sucks right now) I'm looking at double the amount on each item, easy. I do like the XBox controller though and the idea of one reciever instead of one for each controller seems really appealing.

Looks like I just gotta save up some dough 'cause the thought of playing old emulator games on my TV kicks tremendous amounts of butt
