Wireless Internet Connection Problems

Hi, as the thread title indicates I can't connect my desktop to the internet. This happened a few months ago when we set up the system and after going through all the solutions(and then some!) suggested on multiple sites I found a post on a website that came up with the solution. All I can remember was it discovered that unchecking a box on a registry file was the problem. After resetting the router yesterday the problem has returned but for the life of me I can't find that website or the post. Has anyone heard of this solution?

Many thanks

It sounds like a driver problem.

Thanks but no. As I mentioned I have tried all the obvious solutions including updating drivers.

can you remember if it was a reg file called afd that you used.
if so its here. maybe worth a try anyway. though create a system restore point before you use it.

it looks like you would need to run the farbar software to scan your services first ,then use the reg file
Fix Internet Connection after Malware Removal - Select Real Security
the reg file is under Fix System Driver Files and Services step 2

Thanks again but I have found the solution and for others with the same problem here is a possible fix. Uncheck the Jumpstart Network Filter Driver in the properties section of your wireless adapter. Worked straight away for me.
