wireless keyboard incapatability

Admitted tech-tard here. I just got a new computer with windows 7 installed. Came with a wireless keyboard/mouse. I found that (only) in email my keyboard is not responsive. It is slow and types about every third letter. I got a new keyboard and it does the same. It is fine in word or searches--anywhere else. Anyone know if this is a windows 7 problem or is there is a fix? Also, it does it in all email-yahoo, gmail and outlook. Appreciate any help.

Does this only happen when you are typing in a text box in internet explorer such as the one that you will be using to respond to this post?
if yes:
1. make sure your computer is up to date
2. click on tools - Manage add-on - select "currently loaded add-ons" from the "show" menu - click "toolbars and extensions" - and list them.
3. In the add-ons window: if you see one that either says that it is from your computer manufacturer or mentions something like "typer helper" or "spell check", click on it and select "disable." reload Internet explorer and see if that helps.

Also: reboot. it may work.

The keyboard doesn't do it in a message box like this one, only in email.

oh so on a webmail box? try updating your browser if possible. it could still be an add-on problem.

or did you download an email client like Live mail or Thunderbird?
