After some random time, my notebook began showing some problems that i cant understand what, why or how do i even check what is the reason. Sometimes my internet just dies, it is not the router and i don't think it is a physical problem, the wireless diver just disappear, even from the device manager, and from the Network and Sharing center, from the addapters. I re-installed the windows but after 1 week it suddenly and without warning came back, and sometimes for no reason after some time passes the Driver is back on the device manager but not on the Network and sharing center. Is there a reason for it all and how can i fix it? I already tried re-installing the drivers and everything but it didn't fix.

Have you tried deleting the Wireless LAN driver from Device Manager?
Then restart the computer and it should automatically re-install itself?

That is the problem, it is not on the Device Manager as if the driver was never installed.

Hi Suco,

Is the driver signed if not that would do it?

That's a good point that samuria has made.

You will need to do this from your computer though!

Open an elevated command prompt . . .
  • Click Start.
  • In the search box type cmd.
  • Right-click the cmd icon from the search results under Programs and select Run as administrator.
  • The elevated command prompt window will now open.
Type this => driverquery /si > "%userprofile%\Desktop\Drivers_Sign.txt" and press Enter.

Pay special attention to the spaces.

I hope this helps!

Hi Suco,

The .bat file didn't make any .txt file on my desktop even tought it is saying that it did.

That's OK.

It means that there wasn't any problem devices found [I have got to add some script to the file to give that message but I haven't got round to it yet]!

Hi Suco,

W7 is quite smart if it finds a device it will try and find a driver for it.

I have a sneaky feeling either the wifi card is on its way out or one/both of the connectors is loose or detached.

Open up the lappy and check its totally pushed in and the 2 snappers attached.
(they are usually pretty easy to find/replace- generally they are open to view once the rear cover has been removed)

Roy
