Wireless n not 300

I just bought an internal n 300 card. My buffalo router is set to bg mixed with turbo 40mhz and i am only getting 130mb and not 300, i am 6ft from my router.

Why am i not getting full speeds?

Compatibility between your wifi card and the router. You should go to the Buffalo website and see what they have posted about how to get 300Mbps speeds.

Are you sure that either the router or the internal card isn't Pre-N or Draft-N? Those two tend to generate 118 or 130 speeds.
