Solved Wireless Network Name
Hi
I'm trying to figure something out in the Wireless Network settings that's a trivial thing, but bugging me...
If I look in my network settings in the control panel under:
Code:
Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections
I see the different connection options I have in my Windows 7. In this case, there are three of them:
Local Area Connection [Network Cable Unplugged]
Wireless Network Connection [Framus 3]
Microsoft virtual wireless (I renamed this one at some point) [Not connected]
What I'd like to know is: how can I rename #2 from "Framus 3" to just "Framus"? When I select "rename", it lets me rename "Wireless Network Connection" to something. But I want to change the name "Framus 3" to something else. Is that possible?
Thanks

Hello mbratch,
The "Framus 3" name would be the name of your wireless device (ex: router) that you are connected to, and is used for the profile name by default.
You could use either option in the tutorial below to change the profile name to what you want instead.

Hope this helps,

Oh perfect. Thanks. I didn't even notice that the icon allowed a "click".
