Wireless network problem since reseting my router today

I have a dlink router for my desktop, which is a HP pavillion desktop computer.

I had windows 7 set up so whenever I switch the router on, windows would automatically detect it and connect me to the wireless network.

I reset my router today and now for some reason windows does not detect any wireless devices. I can connect manually, but not with wireless.

Under devices for some reason WLAN autoconfig was set to manual. I set it to automatic, but still windows does not detect any wireless networks,

When i go to ''manage wireless networks'' and click add, i get ''windows cannot detect any wireless network interfaces''


I have also tried setting my SSID to visible and invisible and no change.

I dont know what has changed since yesterday, but this is frustrating so if any one knows how to remedy please advise.

I am connected to the inrenet without wireless, thw wireless light on the router is not lighting up, basically only for about a second.

Specs say you have a Desktop. What kind of wireless device? PCI/PCI-E or USB?

Have you restarted the PC yet?

I have restarted the computer multiple times.

It must be an issue with the router because I tried with my laptop and it says ''connected to the wireless network'', but I have a yellow icon which indicates i cant connect to the internet, which i cant, and under network and sharing it says ''wireles network connection'' Acess type: no internet access.

I can however connect to the internet on my desktop because i have the ethernet cable connected to the desktop, but i need to manually create an internet connection and enter username/password every time. I cant figure it out so far. Router settings I used are the same as before. Only difference i can see is the date is listed as 1970 for some reason.

artyb, since you reset your router, you will need to re-enable wireless and reconfigure all of your settings,
network name/SSID
password for wep or wap security
Then configure the computer to find the same

As i said, I used the same settings as previously, meaning same ssid, etc, so everything has been set up on the router. The desktop is not detecting any wireless, can only connect with ethernet. Laptop detects wireless, but no internet connection. ie cant connect to any webpages. Laptop has been set up for the coresponding password, desktopt is not seeing ''any'' wireless networks whatsoever. It was a couple of days ago before i reset the router.

What is your network setup like? Do you have a ISP Modem connected to your router? Have you tried resetting the ISP modem, router and computers in sequence?

Power all off.
Power on modem, wait for it to settle.
Power on router, wait for it to settle.
Power on Desktop, see if it works via Ethernet and can see the Wireless SSID for your router.
Ditto for laptop, what can it now see and can it get to the internet?
