wireless network problem

my wireless network doesn't recognize the password ,light is on and i see the network .Can I just change the password on it ,oh I at up a new one and I don't see that at all.ty

Hello,

Go into your router configuration, and make sure Wireless SSID Broadcast is enabled.

To access your router configuration, enter you default gateway into the address bar of your browser. Commonly it is 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.

If neither works, you can find it in IPconfig. Open a command prompt and run ipconfig /all .

When i put the password it says mismatch.and i still can't connect wireless. I can connect wired.And when i put #198.168.0.1 it's asking for username and password.

That is the password for the router. If you can't figure out the password, post the brand of router and we will try to find the default password.

the brand is WRT160N Linksys.tx

The default credentials for Linksys routers are

User: admin
Password: [blank]

If bad comes to worst, you can reset the router, but at this point, we don't know for sure what the problem is. Resetting the router requires more effort than we are willing to spend, right now.

The password must have been changed. Contact your network admin, or if that is you, consider resetting the router.

Yeh best thing is to reset your router and re-create the SSID.

lol, it's the basically the wireless network. You create this from the router control panel.

Set Security to WPA2, and Encrytion to either AES.

I figured it out while I was looking @ the network list available.But it gets better,I finally tried again(after failing to do after a few tries) using my usb wireless I have and it fails again again so I took out cd set up and remove the usb and go to check again my network is there or not AND guess what they r 2 with the same names networks I use the actual one that I couldn't connect has totally different password(could it be changed when I upgrade drivers once from their site to make router work or not?).Would it be possible to remove both of the and create a new one?and tx for ur helps

I thought were were advising you to reset to router and re-create the SSID.

Remove the SSID/wireless network, Is that what you mean?

Can you screenshot what you mean?
