Wireless network problems

Hi

I just installed Windows 7 and it's great. However I do have a slight problem. My wireless internet won't work. I tried updating my drivers (nVidia nForce ehternet controller), but this dosen't work. Iv'e also tried to reset my router, this dosen't help either. Could it be that the driver does not support windows 7? I should also add that when i try to "Add a wireless network" it just comes up with the message: "The windows wireless service is not running.

Hope you guys can help me.

I just started it, what does this help? Does it switch to wireless when i unplug my cable now?

That is the wireless lan system service for your wifi (wirless adapter). Your LAN (ethernet) service is different to your WLAN service, both are using different adapter devices. By default they do not depend on one another.

Now it comes up with the message: "Windows can not detect any wireless interfaces". My router is online, shouldn't it pop up somewhere?

Go into your Device Manager, and see if there are any issue with the wireless adapter.

Also, check your network connections, if not sure pls screenshot those.

Have you tried resetting your router and see if that helps... just a thought...

There are no issues with the adapter, and the network connections only show the Local Area Connection.

Are you sure you switched the wifi button to ON? this is the external switch for manual turnning on of wifi.

Can you screenshot your device manager's "Network"?
It looks like either no driver has been installed or it's disbled.

Please supply your machine's make and model details.
