Hey everyone,

I've just recently installed Windows 7 on my desktop PC, upgrading from XP and most of the things had ran smoothly, accept for my network driver.

The network won't recognize my internet signal, and because of this i cant update anything directly from my PC.

My wireless card is the following model:
NetComm NP5420 - 11G Wireless PCI card

I have found a download for a new driver, but it seems the compatibility only goes up until Windows XP, Is this fixable?

Additional Information: I cannot connect my computer directly up to my modem, as the LAN connection in my PC seems to be missing (I'm suspecting it's because of my old motherboard)

I'm sure the problem is only with the drivers compatibility with Windows 7.

If this is an unsolvable issue, I'll just pick up a new wireless card on monday.

Sincerely, Sarkos!

Try installing the driver in compatibility mode with XP this will resolve the OS mismatch with W7, and allow the driver to install - do the following:
To install a driver OR program in compatibility mode - right click the setup.exe file - click properties - click compatibility - check run in compatibility with vista/xp etc - check run as administrator - leave the rest blank. Start setup.exe and install.
The driver you probably have below:
NP5420: NetComm Australia

As computerplus said, you won't need a third party software to use your adapter on w7, as w7 has a built-in utility that can be used to detect yoiur wirless network. If w7 cannot detect your wireless network, either there is something wrong with the broadcasting (from your router, do you have another machine that can confirm this?) or your wireless adapter is not functioning (go into Device Manager and see if driver is the issue.)
