I'm trying to find a wireless USB print server that just WORKS. I tried a TRENDNet TEW-MFP1 It's a piece of junk that requires you to use their software. I want something like an old JetDirect... I can point any printer under any OS to a raw TCP/IP port, and the print jobs come out.

I don't know if a simple solution like that exits, but you can check THIS.

Gee, thanks for that thoughtful answer! I NEVER would have thought of just searching for something! Now, how did I find what I've got now... magic, must be magic. Thanks a lot. I hope you didn't spend too much of your valuable time responding.

Between what devices are you trying to use this service?

Be specific!
Your thread starter was lacking of information that we need, all i know is you tried a third-party program and you think it's crap.

We need Devices and operating system's (OS) and how many including USB dongles.

  • What type of hardware are you using now?
  • What programs are you trying to use this service with?
  • What would you like to see, what are your goals?
  • Why are you still using Firefox 22.0?
  • Why are you not using an antivirus program?
  • Is the rest of your system and its programs woefully lacking in updates?

Hi there,

In addition.....Is your printer wired and do not have Wi-Fi capability? What's the make and model of your printer. For not, check out this Bluetooth wireless USB print server.
