WLM to WLM How do I do it?

Hello,

Sorry for silly question!

How do I take Windows Live Mail over to Windows Live Mail or is it automatic?

My system is such I am running Vista atm and just downloaded WLM to prepare myself (the one that hates change) for W7.

I am worried about losing all my stored emails and folders as I reference them quite a lot.

So, when I get my new pc will it be an easy transition? What do I need to do?

Are you already using WLM on the Vista computer?
Are you no longer using Vista's Windows Mail and the <username>/Contacts folder?
If so, have you been "signing in" to WLM with your LiveID?
Are you planing on replacing Vista with Windows 7 on the same PC (vs. a new PC).

Thank you for your reply.

Yes I am using WLM on my Vista machine, it still has WM but thought I should start preparing for the changeover as my machine is on its way out and have got a new one coming shortly. The new one being a W7 machine.

When I loaded WLM onto this machine it just copied everything over. I have 8 email accounts that I download to and about 13 folders full of messages that I dont want to lose.

I havent been signing into WLM with a Live ID! is this bad?, it sounds like something that I dont want to do, I just want the email downloaded onto my machine/desktop like before. (I am not good with change!!) and also want it to look how it does now.
