WLM will not run in compatibility mode on startup

Windows Live Messenger needs to run in compatibility mode in order to minimize to the system tray instead of the taskbar. This seems to work except sometimes on startup it does not run in compatibility mode. I have to exit and then restart WLM and then it's ok.

Any suggestions?

Why does WLM need to be in compat mode? what version is it?

What OS? ETc

It doesn't need to run in compatibility mode, but if you want to minimize it to the system tray instead of having it on the taskbar, then you need to run it in compatibility mode.

WLM version 14.0.8117.416

OS version Windows 7 Professional x64

If anyone is still reading this or having this problem. I have found that most places tell you to run XP compatibility. For me WLW will not run on startup, however if I run it as a vista compatibility it works again. Hope that helps someone.
