Hi folks :)

I don't quite understand the Media Center.
Windows 7 introduced the (in my eyes) very useful libraries to have a central point for all my files, regardless of where they are on my system.
Is it possible to configure the Media Center in a way, that it uses those (standard) libraries?
I don't know how and I didn't find an option, I can only select folders in the Media Center library. Why should I maintain 2 indexes of where I store my video/audio files (win7 library and media center library)?

Or did I just overlook something?

thanks for helping me
Tyd

Thanks for your answer Shawn
but unfortunately I cannot select any of my "windows 7 libraries", only "real" folders in the filesystem.

I only wanted to use the media center because it's impossible to rewind/fast forward .mkv files with ffdshow (shark007 codec pack) in the media player (there the libraries work as expected) but it's supposedly possible in the media center with a plugin.

WMP is very useful except with this ffdshow incompatibility, WMC did not convince me at all xD
I really like the libraries, I'd love a different good media player with integration (like WMP) but without problems with .mkv files

WMP tip: Make sure you have no corrupt media files or you'll soon discover WMP eating all your Processors resources.
