I have a Silicondust HDHomerun Prime TV Tuner device that is networked into my home comuter system.
The WMC refuses to recognize it as a TV tuner. The current Time Warner Cable (TWC) channels load to the menu. The TV tuner can be accessed by the same computer that has WMC and I can adjust the cable card setting via the same computer. The TWC techs have verified the Cable Card and tuner are correctly set up with phone and physical calls made. So, I'm left thinking it has to be WMC. TV channels are present but I cannot play then...get a message "please install/connect a tuner to view the channels. Have been through set up several times over. No Joy! I have Norton Internet software for security and I'm checking with their email support as well. I even disabled the NIS for 15 min. to have WMC load the channels again and set up for cable card done the same with NIS. I did have a Hauppauge TV Tuner PCI card years ago (2) that worked fine. I am hoping that there may be a registry error I or software can repair. Pray it is not an issue for a reinstall. Yes, the WMC has been updated and all the latest update for MS are loaded. Clues anyone?
