WMC7, Subtitles not displaying playing MKV Directvob sub is installed

I am having a heck of a problem with subtitles [sub/idx files] in WMC7

Outside of media center, when i open a MKV file, using windows media player, the subtitles display. [.sub/.idx]

Directvobsub is installed

however, once i launch media center and play the mkv from within media center and windows media player launches, the subs do not work....

Can someone tell me how to fix this?

ive just made a new discovery.

im currently running w7 ultimate x64

when i play mkv in WMP 12 x86 version, subs load properly.

however, when i play mkv in wmp 12 x64, subs do not load. i assume now that in wmc7, when the default player launches, it launches wmp12 x64.

ive tried uninstalling vobsub and re installing via installer and cmd line vsfilter 2.39 and 2.41 but no success. i also have noticed i do not see the green arrow in the task bar when wmp 12 x64 is playing mkv. now i wonder why isnt vsfilter loading/starting up as well.

any help?
