WMP 12 help

I want to re-install Windows Media Player 12 on my Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit operating system. I messed it up and now it's corrupted and doesn't work anymore.
Please help me out

Unfortunately WMP12 is an integral part of the system. At best you can get a copy of the WMP program files folder from another system and replace yours.

remove and re-install the Windows Media components Which will uninstall and re-install WMP and Media Center

Control Panel | Programs and Features
In the left column, select, turn Windows features on or off

Uncheck the Media Features

reboot

reselect the Media Features

I'm sorry I did not understand the first part. I went to Control Panel>Programs and Features>Windows features on or off and did as you said but nothing happens after reboot.

It really is a hassel if you mess up WMP 12. I did that very thing a couple weeks ago and i tried everything i could think of to no avail, finally just did a clean install of os just to fix WMP 12, there should be an easier way.:(
