After my upgrade to 7 I can't seem get WMP to give me the feel I had with the Vista version. Just a few questions-

1) How can I import my music files that are on my HDD into WMP?

It seemed the old player did this automatically

2) How can I get the WMP to open a full screen video all the time instead of the small one that is the default screen?

Thanks,

Riko

Open your old drive in explorer, highlight>grab and then drop them into WMP

At the bottom right of the screen there is an X of sorts, click it for full view.

Thanks Minotar.

I was wondering how I can default the player to always open in the large screen vs hitting the x in the bottom of the screen every time.

With the old WMP player I could stretch it to a large format and then once I closed it the player would default to that size. I can't seem to do that with WMP 12.

This was actually discussed in another thread. It appears that there really isn't a method right now, since wmp doesn't remember the configuration.

When you open WMP, Click the arrow on the bottom right of the player. You'll be in the now playing section of the player. Click and drag WMP to the window size you're after. Then, click on the arrow on the top right of the screen, back to the library section. WMP should then remember the now playing window size.

Thanks Capella,

I've tried every method suggested and you're right WMP does not remember the previous configuration and you have to manually expand the screen size everytime you play a video.
