Is it possible to do a system restore to a time when it was working and the install your apps again and check WMP after each install to see if it has been affected?

I think you will need to this as a process of elimination to find the cause of the problem.

No because if I want to restore my system and reinstall my apps again, it nearly takes half of a day. So I prefer to find another solution and not an omitting one.
Thanks by the way

You could try a scan of the system files to make none are corrupt by Opening command prompt as administrator and type sfc /scannow and after it's finished restart and see if it makes a difference.

I have a same problem with WMP after I install PowerIso 4.0 (Windows7 7000 X64) . PowrIso4.0 works but very slow, WMP too. I think Windows7 don't like virtual drive at all:)

Graphic card is MSI RX2600XT-T2D512EZ/D3. Before I install PowerIso 4.0 Windows worked without any problems with ATI 9.1 graphic driver. Before 9.1 driver I used Windows7 graphic driver and all worked great(without Acrobat). I think, if I will uninstall PowerIso 4.0 all will works good but virtual drive is needed.

there was an update to WMP that just came through windows update.

it addresses crashes but there's not enough info to confirm if it will fix your problem.
