Use the Resource Hacker and Back up the old wmploc.dll then change the version number to what is expected by system :) or just copy the version inside the original wmploc.dll and replace the version number in your customized wmploc.dll inside the system32.

Indeed. D/L Resource Hacker and open the file. Expand Version Info, then 1, then click on 1033. Change every instance of the version number to the correct version and save the new file. As mentioned, make a copy of the original just in case. I have done this myself.
