Hi All,

I have 7 Ult installed and streaming fine so far to my PS3. The only annoying thing is the amount of useless folders that show up on the PS3. I mean when you select the media server you Get Photo Music etc, then when you go into one you get artist folders etc etc. Is there anyway to manually remove any that you don't use?

Thanks!!

There used to be something called Menu Mender for MC11 (I'm presuming the Vista version should be called that, to match WMP11) but I don't think the present version works for what I suppose is now MC12. However, I also believe an update is in the works, so for the moment you'll just have to keep your eyes peeled.

Thanks, I looked at that program but its not really what im after. I want to cut down the amount of folders displayed by WMP12 to a DLNA client.

Any update on this yet? I too would like to reduce the amount of folders. I have an early dlna device and too many folders crashes it.

Well, you definately have to look at the WMP12 end, because when running the alternative Tversity DLNA server, the ' menu' as they call it can be adjusted by changing xml files at the Tversity end. That way, the default way of showing things ("artist","genre","year","album" and so on) on your DLNA client (TV, X-box and so on) can be changed to just show the plain folders in which the media is stored.

I'm interested in changing the default WMP12 behaviour also (never got the playlist way of organizing media i must admit :o )
