Won't get past computer boot screen

Hello,

I recently installed Windows 7 on my computer. Fresh install, remove everything else that was previously on the computer. It installed fine, with no problems. I tried to change the screen resolution, and the screen went black and would not revert. Frustrated, I re-reinstalled 7, and everything went swimmingly. Until, of course, the 2nd reboot, when my computer would not load past the computer boot up screen (the screen that gives options such as Boot Order, ect.). It simply goes to a black screen with the "_" underscore, and then "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD . . . .", then back to the blue boot up screen.

I've tried re-re-reinstalling, and I still get the same result. This happens after the reboot you must complete after choosing your name and password.

I've tried the Repair option, and it did not find any faults within the system.

I've also used this CD to install 7 on my laptop, which worked great.

Please, any advice as to what I should do would be so great!

Thanks!

Can you get into safe mode by hitting the F8 key during the boot? If so, try changing the video resolution back to where it was.

What type of video output are you using and what type of monitor/s?
