word error

i have WIN7 64bit & office 2010, after some updates from 1 month ago, when i want to open a word doc it goes on not responding condition & then it closes,next time when i try it goes on safe mode & i can work with this. plz help me with this.!!!

Did you try repairing Office 2010?


Click on Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Highlight the Office Suite > Change > Select Repair

Perhaps before doing the above you could check that all Office updates were installed successfully. If not, uninstall the specific one and see if that makes a difference.

i did repair,but the problem still remaining. do u know any special update that might help??

Have you tried any of the solutions in here? Troubleshoot problems that occur when you start or use Word 2010, 2007, or 2003
Well... If none of them work, You could try (if you want) to do a complete re-install of Office/Word.

You said that the problem occurred following some updates, have you checked that they were installed successfully?

Successfully installed updates will be listed in:
Start | Control Panel | Programs and Features | View installed updates (left-hand menu). Scroll down to see if any failed during the period when you believe the problem began.
