I have a problem with word 2007 (win 7 x64 build 7100).

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]When I create an equation in Word 2007, which content is just I, it's impossible to create the pdf file. Why ?

I had another problem before because I wasn't able to save in pdf format
(the message was that the file is used by another application). I just notify
Kaspersky antivirus that Word is a trusted application and now I can save in pdf when I have only text.

But I can't if I have an equation in it.

The message is : "L'exportation a échoué en raison d'une erreur inattendue", which I can translate like this: Export failed due to an unexpected error

Can someone help me ? Thanks.

Do you have Office 2007 Service Pack 2? If not, please install it as it has native PDF support.

If you already do, can you check your Application Event log?

Also, do you already have Acrobat Pro installed or are you using a third party PDF creator? If you have Acrobat Pro installed, I have that and can test with some of my previously submitted math homework (I love the equation builder in Word 2007 and have used it frequently).

Word 2007 SP2 PDF export problem

Thanks for reply.

My problem is with Office 2007 SP2, and the integrated export for pdf (it is installed by default).

And there are many questions about this on forums, but I didn't see any solution.

The problem seems to be only when an equation is in the file (with use of the integrated equation editor).

Goupil.

Thanks mikinho for your reply.

But I don't know how to get the application event log.

Same issue

I'm having the same problem! I study economics and this is a SERIOUS issue for me! The pdf creators that are installed as printers are much slower and don't convert hyperlinks from the contents list so I'm actually considering going back to Vista if this isn't fixed soon:confused:

The problem arises as soon as a single equation is entered in a document. Even if it's just an eq sign ('=') or something similar. If you convert it to an image or conert the document to a 97-2003 version there's no problem... I don't know if it's ok if you print the document on a printer...

I've found no clues on the internets as to what people are doing... If anyone's having the same problem, please write so that Microsoft will know about this. It's probably driver path etc. that has been changed in 7 compared to vista which the office team needs to be made aware of.
