Works fine with 2gb but doesnt work at all with 4gb?

hi,

After two days of trying to install 7 pro 64. I worked out that by removing 2gb of ram I was able to install 7 without any problems. Before it would take hours and then eventually give up. If i try to add the other 2gb stick of ram it hangs at the windows logo.

Ive tried 7 32 bit and that worked fine with 4gb. Also vista 64 bit and that was fine also.

Any suggestions?

2.4ghz dual core, corsair ram, asus pn532 something, 1tb sata

I will be installing W7 Home 32-bit. Is there also "more than 2 gig" issue with the 32-bit or is it only 64?

I think most people who experience this problem have 64-bit Windows.

However with 32-bit Windows you will not be able to use more than about 3GB (or a little more but not the full 4GB). You might already be aware of that because XP is the same way.
