Hello, I have a 64gig SSD and I don't want it to fill up since the OS takes most of the space, if I change the user profile to an HDD, would this make it pointless?

Thank you.

Maybe evaluate disabling hibernate and\or take control of the paging file size (am using 200MB min, 2000MB max, always stays at 200MB).

This can save you lots of SSD space (depending on amount of ram) without needing to change any folder\user location. But, of course, large files\video etc should be saved to the other drive, not to the user folder.

edit: also do a Disk Cleanup (incl. 'Clean up system files') & run CCleaner now and then.
With all this 64GB should do fine as a system disk. edit 2: and (should have mentioned it), monitor the System Restore disk usage, adjust if necessary.
