Would a HP Photosmart 8200 work with a Windows 7 OS

My aunt gave me her old printer. I was looking through the manual and it only mentioned Windows XP and 98 operating systems. I wanted to know if it would be compatible with Windows 7.

What is the exact product number(P/N) and serial number(S/N) on that Photosmart 8200 series printer?
That will allow us to determine the exact model number you have.

Windows Vista appears to be the last Windows operating system that had a full-feature software driver package for that printer.
That means it has to rely on a generic driver that's built into Windows 7, which will reduce the functions it can perform.

If that printer hasn't been used in a long time, its ink cartridges may be dried out and useless.
Replacing them will likely cost more than what it's worth.

THIS pictorial guide shows you how to install that printer with the Windows 7 generic driver.
If you get that printer to work with Windows 7, it will probably be limited to its basic functions and not have full functionality.

That printer appears to use 6 different color ink cartridges.
If you need to replace them, the cost (original or remanufactured) will probably be much more than what that printer is worth.
