Would you recommend MSE final over Kaspersky 2010?

i'm not sure about this not yet ready for windows 7 - i've been using the standard kis 2010 version 9.0.0.463 with my win7 x64 rtm for a while now, and all is groovy - i don;t recall problems with the rc1 either.

it sounds like kaspersky support being real lazy.

by the way, BWK, you can use the quote button

to do things like this:

Kaspersky will support Windows 7 and they will support it..... just always with new OS's.............when it's released to the public and not generally during the beta/release candidate phase since it generally a waste of resources as it it like a moving target until the last phase. Rest assured, Kaspersky is already accutely aware of this new OS and have tested internally & will continue to do so in a manner that will...again like always make it possible to have Windows 7 support available from the moment it is released sometime around october 22 from.......this date includes RTM versions. So support for Windows 7 will be around this date.

Same here Mickey, all is wonderful running KIS 2010 v9.0.0.463 on W7U RTM x86 & x64 with no errors during installation or after.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 will not install on my us version of windows 7 x64 ultimate. During install keep getting Error 1722 InstallDriverKl1x64. I tried running it in compatibility mode and still nothing. As to date Avast is the only one to install without any troubles. I am going to give the MSE a try.

I would suspect a corrupt installation of W7U x64 or, a corrupt download of KIS.
Make sure you download KIS directly from their product
updates site instead of using say download.com or some other place.
Product Updates

Don't worry about it saying for existing customers as you can still install whatever as a trial if you like too. ;)

Haven't tried MSE though its worth a shot considering the alternative you are looking at. KIS performance has taken a dive compared to the 09 product. The performance under certain scenarios sucks like file copies over the network and in general the system appears more sluggish than with 09. I finally gave up and went with an alternative yellow product.:D

Well.. would you?

(Keep in mind that I am running x64)

MSE is getting good reviews from everyone and I want to try it out but don't know if I should switch over from Kaspersky.
