Wrong BIOS installed.

I need help fixing my computer I installed the wrong BIOS so every time i trry to turn it on it wont boot u i get a blue screen and the computer keeps restarting i already tried system restore and safe mode but safe mode wont even boot up im using a Toshiba Sattelite l505d-s5965 Here are the specs of it Toshiba Satellite L505D-S5965 Specs - Laptops - CNET Reviews I would like to know if its possible to make a bootable usb and reinstall bios from it please help and thanks for your help.Im using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

If you messed up the Bios it needs to be flashed to the right revision

are you even able to get a post screen ? if not then Im not sure if clearing cmos would help

I would call Toshiba tech support they might be able to give you a bios to install


Question though why would you update the bios ? especially on a Lappy most of the time when you buy a Lappy pretty much leave as is unless the update is super important

Most of the time updated Bios updates compadible cpu's or updated memory controler not work wrecking your unit over

It seems a little weird that Toshiba doesn't acknowledge that model on their support site.

A BIOS updater available on the Web is:

Toshiba Satellite L505D-S5965 ACPI Flash BIOS v.1.50 download

It includes an .iso file (CD image) that can be used to make a bootable CD of the BIOS updater. That should be the least-effort path for you. I hope that it works for you. A bad BIOS can brick the laptop.

Maybe Toshiba can direct you to a more up-to-date BIOS version.
