Wrong Resolution?!

Whenever I open my Yahoo Mail account I get this message:

"Your screen resolution is set below our minimum recommendation of 1024 x 600 pixels."

But my monitor's resolution is 1280 X 1024!

My browser in Pale Moon.

How do get rid of this problem?

(Sorry if this has been discussed in another thread.
I looked for a thread about this but could not find any.)

Hello and welcome omar that sounds like an odd resolution to me at least and just what is set in your Control Panel > Display > Adjust resolution see pic

Resolution Problem Message

As stated above my monitor's resolution is set to 1280 X 1024.
It is the highest resolution available and is suited to my work
which is mechanical drafting (Autodesk Inventor).

To: ThrashZone

My monitor is ViewSonic, a cathode ray tube.
The problem has nothing to do with the monitor but with the browser and email account.

Chrome and Yahoo Mail did not give me this problem.

But I replaced Chrome with Firefox because I want a browser with a pull-down menu.
Firefox and Yahoo Mail give me this message:
"Your screen resolution is set below our minimum recommendation of 1024 x 600 pixels."

So I replaced Firefox with Pale Moon.
With Pale Moon and Yahoo Mail the same message appears!

1280 x 1024 is perfectly normal.

What happens when you open it with IE ?

Why don`t you just keep using Chrome to open Yahoo mail ??

I deleted IE months ago because of the never-ending "...not responding" messages.
A pull-down menu is user-friendly and Chrome does not have it.

I don't know when my ViewSonic monitor was made. A computer store was
disposing of their old stock of CRTs and sold them at bargain prices.

Ok mate now have a read of this Google it is an oldish post but may still work - I am not familiar with this browser so I can't picture in my mind what it actually does.

resolution problem. Unfortunately none worked.

I have decided to go back to using Chrome.

Hmm well for what it is worth a good move especially in light f what we have been hearing about Yahoo on the news today. Not that I guess Google and all the rest of the large conglomerates are really any much better.

Most of the time it is the default zoom.

I tried using various levels of 'zoom in' and 'zoom out' in opening Yahoo Mail
but the "wrong resolution' message always appeared.

CRT over LED???

To be honest I have to agree even from the aspect of the LED being more economical to run, takes up less space, and probably has greater control over it's operation, plus it has to be a little easier on the eye from a look and that the CRT emits radiation just like any of the older TV's used to unless I am terribly mistaken that used to be beta radiation with some very slight risk of gamma and X ray emissions - not trying to scare you into getting an LED if you are wondering
