Solved Wrong VGA driver - can't find the correct

I got a brand new 10" laptop 'Crazy Fire'. Preinstalled lots of chinese software, but all graphic elements showd properly. Even as administrator, I could not remove softwre. Did install Win7 utimate, 64 bits. Only two resolutions available, 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768. Graphic elements shows as ovals. The card is oem, with no description except 'standard vga card'. Tried two of the driver portals, after paying I downloaded the appropriate driver and installed. Rebooting gave blue screen.

Any tip for finding the right driver?

Hi Welcome to Seven Forums ... I could not find any Reference to your Model any where on the net ..


Do the following Start search type cmd ... Type the following at the cmd prompt ...


wmic baseboard get product,Manufacturer,version,serialnumber


Please post back the Info ...

The Driver you need is in the Link below ..

But it is only for 32 Bit OS .. I do not think there is a 64 Bit Driver available ..

Thanks. I also tried the find driver function from Intels home page - but only getting error message.

I might suspect the installed OS was Win7 Enterprise, but 32 bits version. I do not have any 32 bits version of win7 so I guess I have to wait and continue searching. Really appreciate your help.

Your Laptop is very similar to the Acer AOD270 ...

No 64 Bit Drivers available ...


Has an Intel Atom Processor...

Thanks. Guess I have the choise of buying a 32 bit version of win7, or live with the dodgy graphics. Guess if Intel not has the driver, nobody else has it either

Hi!

Reading the clean install document, incredible lots of valuable information. Think this operation is a bit time consuming, so I have a go in the weekend.

Been searching for the driver, and found one on Intel's driver pages. Thought it it was strange as long as you said there is none around.

Name is win7_64_1512754 did install, but some time during installation, I got error message saying something like system does not meet minimum requirements, and installation stopped. That is the same message I got when trying to install the diver that came with the driver CD, which I think is for 32 bit system.

Any idea why this does not work?

Hi Post 4 contains the Intel Driver ... Only works on a 32 Bit OS ...

At the moment cannot find any 64 Bit Drivers ...

Hi!

Tried downloading X17-59463.iso, win 7 ultimate 32 bits. Installed and got key accepted. Found driver from Intel support, Win7_1096, installed and problems solved I got all screen resolutions back. It was not a clean install this time, but i will relate to the instructions and slim the installation as much as I can manage.
