wy changing template of one srt file, changes the default of al txts

HI, Srt files could be edited a text files in notepad. BUt there is a problem in doing so. Changing the default template lilke font change and size, it affects all the saved txt files in my pc.
Is there any fix for this
If i copy and changes the font in word and then copy to notepad, it is again the same. All the changes are lost and defaut notepad settings are shown.
Srt files could be edited, but how to keep the custom font size to one txt file.
srt files cannot be stored in another format
please give me the solution

Changing the fonts in Notepad changes ALL files opened in notepad to use that font. It's the same in all editors. I use several different text editors to do this. Metapad is my default editor for *.srt files. As I have a font and size that just makes it easier for me to use.I use Editpad and Notepad++ set with different fonts for other files.

I think OP is used to the big office suites, free and fee. Those biggies each have a word / text editor [i.e., programs that can create, edit, format, save documents, rich text, and more] and per document file, per text file, -- font, size, and type. Metapad, notepads, editors, etc., as billmcct posted, changes are across the board. My toys have been doing likewise.

Txt files, as well as their subtitle cousings .srt files are plain-text, and containt NO information about font size, color, typeface or anything, they're just text.

Notepad is also a very basic text editor, and doesn't support any kind of formatting, much less per file. Changing its settings will have global effect and will affect any file opened.

Hi, sorry for late coming. i was not informed thro emails of the posts.
If i change the font in word and then copy to notepad , it changes back to default notepad settings.
this is the problem. srt files could be edited as plaint text, for which i used it and this cannot be saved as word files as per the format that video will take.There should be some solution to this behaviour .
If all text files changes , then what is the remedy, is my query

Even if you could save an *.srt file with the meta data for formatting it would make no difference. The font you will see on screen on any media players, TVs or whatever is determined by the Player not the file..

i found a way out , by editing the srt files is to convert in aegisub software ,in ass form, whic supports , all the media.
Thanks. I also , went to HKCu,software, notepad and deleted the settings to get back no notepad normal template.
