Just wondering if anyone has any info on the Lightscribe issue so many have with w7.
My HP HDX 9000 burns ok but doesn't have the lightscribe service any more.

Hello, Hahaiah. Welcome to the SevenForums.
Have you tried
this Lightscribe Host Software from HP support? You should run setup in compatibility mode set to Vista.
Tell us if it works.

After installing whatever application software came with your CD/DVD recorder, go to
www.lightscribe.com and download and install the lightscribe driver appropriate for your system. I don't understand why the application (Nero in my case) installs normally except for the lightscribe function even tho it is a lightscribe edition CD; but it works that way. The lightscribe software installs without a hitch from the lightscribe website. "Been there, done that!"

Working now
Installed with "recommended" settings after first attempt failed and ran a test burn, works even better than the old system. Thanks again for the help. I always thought the lightscribe service was part of the driver for some reason. Bad Google.
