I have heard that you CANNOT use a Play and Charge USB to use your controller with a PC.

Instead, you will need this: Xbox 360 Crossfire Wireless Gaming Receiver For PC (Xbox 360) at Gameplay - FREE UK Delivery

Or purchase a wired xBox controller.
