XFX 5450 Windows 7 Hibernate problem

I have an extremely annoying problem on my PC which seems to be graphics related. I am running Windows 7 with the following setup :

Motherboard : Asus P5QL EPU MOBO
Graphics card : XFX HD 5450 1GB SDDR3 HDMI DV
Memory : 4Gb DDR2 RAM
PSU : 700W PSU Corsair
When the PC hibernates, it is impossible to get it to work again properly. The PSU is working, all the fans are running, the hard drive is spinning, but there are no graphics at all. No BIOS screen or anything.
I have uninstalled all the components several times, and finally it worked again. However, as soon as it hibernated, the problem returned. This is so infuriating – does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be ?

Try with a clean boot to possbily diagnose and even solve the problem
