Good afternoon. I installed Windows 7 on my Dell Latitude E6500 several weeks ago and it installed very nicely and found all the drivers. I knew I would need to dual boot Windows 7 and XP Pro so I partitioned my hd in half with two equal partitions. I installed Windows 7 on the first partition. All was well until I decided to install XP Pro SP3 on the second partition this morning. The Windows 7 partition is there however I can not boot to it. I tried to edit the boot.ini file on C to figure out how to get back however I am failing miserably. Since I have a lot of time into c0nfiguring Windows 7 I would rather NOT do a fresh install and start from scratch. I still want to dual boot XP however if that is not possible then I would like to completely uninstall XP and go back to where I was this morning with a functional install of Windows 7. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

I fixed it

I am happy to report that I was able to find my Windows 7 DVD install disk. I booted from it and told Windows 7 to fix the startup problems. After about 45 seconds I was able to reboot the laptop and Windows 7 is now back in business and all my junk is there.

Thanks
:D
