So, my CD-ROM drive died after 6 years of valiant service (RIP) I have backups of most everything, including my XP disc. I want to install it on my 320gb HDD so I can run CS:S alot better (7 crashs tons with CS:S) How can I do this?

I have tried mounting it with Daemon tools, and I have tried using XP mode virtual PC all to no avail. Anyone know of a way for me to go about this? :p

I did recently gain access to a 4gb Flash drive. If anyone has a STABLE way to use that to boot. (many tutorials online are wrong and or dangerous) My mainboard does have USB drive emulation (can fake floppy,HDD,CD)
