I am getting ready to rebuild my computer and want to know the steps, folders and process to move the files to another drive while I rebuild my computer.

I want to bring it back after the rebuild so steps to get this done would be appreciated.

There was a lot of work put into setting up the XPMode and would like to keep all the update security/app and so forth to save some time after the rebuild.

Welcome!

You can create a full system image. That will allow you to easily restore back.

Search for Backup in the start menu, and in the left pane, you will see Create a System Image.

I need to do a fresh build of Win 7 x64 and just wanted to see if I could move the "virtual" side off to another drive, rebuild and bring it back.

You should be able to backup the XP Mode files found in the location you installed to. They are in my user folder.

Of course, you will still need to reinstall the program itself.
