XP program install in appdata only

I'm installing a small XP program in Win7. On two other Win7 PC's it installs in C:\programs\ProgramName\ as I browsed to install it there, but on third PC it will ONLY install in PCName\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\StartMenu\Programs\Startup even after I browse to install in C:\programs\ProgramName\.... Does anyone know how to install ONLY in C:\programs\ProgramName\?

I need to replace a demo data file with my own created data file from one of the other PCs and Win7 won't do it after I renamed "mydata" file to "demodata".

A possibility is that UAC is virtualizing the write to program files.
Have you ran the installer "as administrator"? You should get an UAC prompt when installing it.
