XP startup error

I don't know is this best place to ask about XP problems..

Basically every time I restart/boot up my old pc it says "windows didn't start up properly" and gives options for safe mode and normal boot. Well when I press normal boot it boots up normally and works fine.

Any clue how to get rid of that error?

Maybe a driver is hanging at boot up. Have you checked your driver list and made sure everything is up to date?

Well I reinstalled computer recently and havent installed anything else than windows updates.. Is there any fast way to update drivers or do I have to go thru them 1-by-1 in system32/drivers folder?

c\Check in device manager and see if there are any missing drivers. I see that you're running x64 XP, so make sure you're grabbing the x64 drivers.

It's been a while since I've been on XP, I think you get to device manager by right clicking My Computer, and select properties. If you're missing any drivers you should see some yellow warning triangles next to the device.

Seems like I don't have soundcard driver somewhy and my pc can't even recognize speakers o_o Maybe that might be the cause, have to try find out model and dl drivers then..

Installing Creative drivers did the trick: now I hear sounds and computer won't throw error on startup, thanks alot for idea
