Solved Yahoo mail in firefox loads asian language ad

This started about 4-5days ago in Fire Fox Ver 12.0 and when I use Google Chrome & load Yahoo Mail it does not appear in Chrome. I am aware that you can "Hide Ad" & it does this until you choose an email to open then ad is back. What can I do to eliminate ? Thanks

A Bit odd huh? Two things you might try. This is obviously a FF thing, so...

Open Firefox> Tools> Options> Advanced> Network tab> Cached web content> Clear now button



Restart FF and try Yahoo mail again.

If no help, you might try disabling geolocation, see what effect (if any), then reenable it

Open Firefox> In address bar type about:config> Ok the warning to be careful> In search bar type geo.enabled> Double click the geo.enabled listing to set the value to false



Close and reopen FF to see if any effect. If no effect, and you don't mind FF using your location to give you more localized results, double click the entry and return it to true.

Thanks, I did a uninstall & deleted all my old settings, then installed FF new ver & I got rid of the Asian ad. I still get ads but at least they are in english. Thanks again. Steve

I also use FF.. I like the add on called adblock plus.. try it out.. also.. ghostery ..
