Very nice monitors you both have, certainly makes my 17" look small although saying that I certainly like the wide screen and find it much nicer to work with than the 17" normal one I had before, my husband has that one on my XP machine.

Can't you import the stuff into the UK or is that now not allowed any more.

You can easily get 120 - 220 V adapters and don't worry about the 60 HZ mains instead of 50 HZ -- most mains appliances will work on 50 - 60 HZ.

If you say it's "Educational Material" I don't think you would even have to pay any VAT in UK nor Customs duty either.

You'll pay a bit of shipping / freight and have to possibly collect it yourself at the airport -- I've done loads of this sort of stuff with photographic gear when I'm in the UK -- in fact when they see me at the customs and VAT area in Manchester Airport they say "Oh not you again" -- and usually have the package(s) ready.

In spite of generally totally "Rip off Prices" in the UK tax concessions are pretty good if you know how to use them (or find a nice Jewish accountant) -- no racial slur intended - just these people are really good at their jobs and worth every penny / eurocent.

It is possible that if you are a UK citizen the rules could be different but I think as far as "Educational Matter" is concerned the definitions are pretty lax ( I even got the entire 10 series of Stargate SG1 DVD's from the States as "Course Material").
