I just got a nice note from a Microsoft employee who works for the advertising department advising me that I won a brand new Dell laptop. I got it for subscribing to one of their newsletters. Looks legit, but you know what they say about things that look too good to be true. They aren't asking for a credit card or anything like that... just my phone number and shipping address. So I dunno.... what do you think?

I remember subscribing to the newsletter because I wanted to enter the contest. They sent a declaration and release form with the email. Like I said... looks legit.

Check the website and find a e-mail address or phone number (IF possible) and try to check on it that way.

Hopefully true, Congrats...:party::party::cool::cool:

The email helpfully links to the website's contest page that lists all the rules and it mentions the emailer's name specifically. Plus there is a phone number that I plan to call on Monday.

And Tews... NO! I don't want a ruby badge that badly. Unless it's a netbook. LOL

Snarky, I got this call from Microsoft today. They told about the mistake, actually I was the winner of this netbook. They asked if I wanted them to contact you and tell you should send it to me. I told I know you and can take care of that myself.

So please pack the computer and send it here. I PM you my mailing address.

Sorry, maybe next time is your turn.

Kari
