Nostalgic! Even I like these modern rigs and OS's, I still remember The Good Old Days with a smile. The world of Zilog Z-80, CP/M, coding in Cobol and Fortran etc.

Today: In a tiniest possible hellhole in the middle of nowhere, somewhere between München (Munich) and Swiss border, in a 3 guestroom B&B, furnished with some odd pre-war (I mean the first one!) pieces. Maybe 20 houses in this village, one "Kneipe" (pub). Only way to use net is using my Nokia as a 3G mobile modem so surfing is slow.

Nothing to do! Met customer earlier today, must meet him once more early tomorrow morning. Was thinking to drive home and tomorrow back here but with the meeting 9AM, I'd have to leave home about 5AM. No thank you!

It's 17:00 (5PM) and I'm bored.

Nice weather, though. Going to a walk to admire beautiful Alps before supper. Later Skype Video with wife, then SF.

FYI:
US 'Interstate' highways were copied from the Autobahn,
but we're not allowed to actually 'drive'...

But then, we have General Motors, Ford, etc.

TODAY..my wife got a couple of kittens for the kids from the Cats Protection, both toms. the names they came with were harry & hogwart, we're not keen on these names so how about some suggestions pls? harry is white and tabby and hogwart is all black if this helps. i'll post a couple of pics later, maybe start a thread

Home after a PITA 30 hour trip to have two one hour meetings. Quick lunch with wife before she drove away for a weekend trip to a spa with her mother. It's going to be one of those SF-marathon weekends, I think.
