Hey everyone,
Last time I posted on here, I had an issue with Win7 not recognising my ASUS VW223B monitor as a default 1680x1050 resolution. That problem solved itself when I bought myself a brand new Gigabyte GTS 250.
However,
One day, I open up Unreal Tournament 3, ready to kick some a**** when the screen flashes and then goes blank. I push the ON located on the front of the monitor, and when the monitor loads, the resolution is not the default 1680x1050. I tried restarting, system restore, and reinstalling my graphics card.
At the moment, I have used the nVidia Control Panel to force the resolution of 1680x1050, however in all of my games the option for 1680x1050 is not there.
One final note, the nVidia Control Panel identifies my monitor as an ASUS VW223N (as opposed to its actual model being the 223B) and in Device Manager, my monitor appears as Generic Non-PnP Monitor.
Please can someone help me fix this. There is no way I am buying a new graphics card after just purchasing one, and Win7's hardware issues are really beginning to annoy me...
Thanks in advance.
