Dear forumers/gurus,

I know this problem has been asked/solved for many times already, but still, I think I need to ask. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am running on desktop PC, ATI Radeon HD 7870 graphic card (ASUS), PSU Corsair GS700.

Well, I tried to install the new catalyst control center from AMD website, download the driver, install this and that, but nothing actually being installed/happened. I am facing this problem since early last month, and almost give up. Things were okay before that. I guess I should never have try to fix anything that is not broken.

I have read forums and look for solutions, and have tried many things but all to no avail. I have done the complete removal, DDU, Driver sweep, safe mode, reinstall, reboot, make sure ATI.ACE is empty, check registry, check public key token (never found any ATI token in 'windows/assembly' btw), etc. and the problem persists. Please advise if I have missed anything. When I checked in the Device Manager, the computer does not even detect my HD 7870 anymore. I can see that there is only Standard VGA under the Display Adapter in Device Manager. I even tried changing the graphic card slot, but still the same. I am not a tech savvy or what, maybe I have messed up pretty bad

I am pretty clueless and do not have any idea what to do now. Help :confused::confused:
Thank you in advance.

(sorry for my english)
